JobStar.in Terms & Conditions

Welcome to JobStar.in. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JobStar.in website, mobile app, and related services (together, the "Platform"), whether you're a job seeker, an employer, or a visitor. By creating an account, browsing job listings, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

To use JobStar.in, you must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in India, or be an authorized representative of a company registering to hire on its behalf. By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and belongs to you or the organisation you represent.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account, including OTP-based logins. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify us immediately. JobStar.in reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that provides false information, violates these Terms, or is used in a way that harms other users or the Platform.

3. For Job Seekers

Creating a profile, searching for jobs, and applying to jobs on JobStar.in is completely free. You agree to provide accurate information in your profile and resume, and to use the Platform only to seek genuine employment opportunities. No employer, recruiter, or third party is authorized to demand payment, a "registration fee", or any deposit from you in exchange for a job offer — such requests should be reported to us immediately, as JobStar.in never charges job seekers for access to jobs.

4. For Employers

Employers agree to post only genuine, currently open positions, and to complete our company verification process before their listings go live. Job descriptions must accurately reflect the role, compensation, and requirements — misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent listings are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal of the listing and suspension of the account. Employers are solely responsible for their hiring decisions and for complying with applicable labour laws.

5. Content Ownership & License

You retain ownership of the content you upload to JobStar.in, including your resume, profile details, and company information. By uploading content, you grant JobStar.in a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content with relevant job seekers or employers as part of the normal functioning of the Platform. You confirm that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe on anyone else's rights.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse the Platform in any way, including but not limited to: posting fake or duplicate job listings, creating fraudulent or impersonated profiles, scraping or harvesting data from the Platform without permission, uploading viruses or malicious code, sending spam or unsolicited messages to other users, or attempting to bypass our security or verification systems. Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, legal action.

7. Third-Party Links & Advertisements

The Platform may display advertisements or links to third-party websites, including via services like Google AdSense. JobStar.in does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of information on third-party sites. Your interactions with any advertiser or third party found on or through the Platform are solely between you and that party.

8. Limitation of Liability

JobStar.in acts as a platform connecting job seekers and employers, and while we verify companies before their listings go live, we do not guarantee the accuracy of any job listing, the conduct of any employer or candidate, or any employment outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobStar.in shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including any hiring decision, job offer, or interaction between users.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. JobStar.in may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or created risk or legal exposure for JobStar.in or other users. Sections relating to content license, liability, and governing law will survive any termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
